Training and Education

Just like anything new, mTilda and the different HLA Data Systems applications need training and time to learn it. Every lab has a different number of users at different levels of expertise/usage. We utilize a “train the trainer“ approach with individuals or groups throughout the training process. Trainers are then empowered to train their fellow co-workers and begin implementation of the laboratory’s SOPs.

Training consists of a mixture of online learning, guided hands-on training sessions, and provided basic workflow procedures. Sessions can be recorded for further review and additional learning resources during the implementation process. Training occurs throughout the implementation process and continually gives new users the opportunity to learn, practice, and build their version of mTilda.

We have a few different means of training, including recorded mTilda videos in our Learning Management System, as well as multiple live hands-on sessions that are recorded for further review of each process. The amount of training depends on the extend of the mTilda implementation and the number of additional applications that have been integrated. Training starts relatively early in the implementation process since validations and checks for potential errors are required throughout the implementation. This gives the new users the opportunity to learn the software by practicing it on top of the training sessions.
