Implementation is the most crucial step in adopting a LIMS. Every lab is different and has unique requirements and workflows. The HLA Data Systems team has decades of experience implementing software in clinical labs which has allowed us to streamline the process and make it efficient and successful.

    • Deliver world-class Laboratory information management system

      • Tailor solution to meet the lab’s complex needs

      • Adhere to scope and identify potential issues early in discovery

      • Document and report progress via Basecamp, an enterprise level project management and team communication tool

    • Service delivery

      • Clear communication

      • Client focused and responsive approach

  • Implementation is broken down to 4 phases:

    • Assess:

      • Requirements gathering, review of lab processes, tests, orders, devices, data formats, necessary discrete data schema, reporting, and HL7 interfaces

    • Plan

      • Development and delivery of project plan with timelines, dependencies and milestones

      • Define the implementation team and assign responsibilities for both our team and yours

    • Deploy

      • Provision servers and databases

      • Ensure that IT requirements are met for a successful implementation

      • Conduct data migration from previous LIMS/database

      • Implementation of lab configurations and development of customizations

      • Custom report development

    • Manage

      • Assistance with lab validation plan creation

      • Error identification and resolution

      • User training sessions

      • Go-live and post go-live support

  • Implementation is a collaborative process where input from the lab is continuous to ensure the requirements are met. To facilitate the process we use a number of tools to track the progress of the project and fulfill project success metrics. The entire implementation team has visibility into the project and can actively participate and contribute to the project’s success.
